I agree that Substack is probably not a great platform for what you need. If it's not worth the effort, I say move on. Better to do things well on fewer platforms than try to make everyone happy. I've never heard of Podia but I'm willing to try it out.

I did. I didn't realize it was integrated into the website, I was expecting a separate app more like Substack. I hope you get better results there.

I think it was worth a try on Substack as it would have reached people that otherwise wouldn’t have listened.

I have Patreon also and do go there occasionally for you and Jasper’s stories.

On my Classic Ghost Stories podcast - private feed( on Apple podcast app) I notice I get some content eg, The Haunting of Westwell Hall, that isn’t on YouTube. So, for me, I spend most of my listening to you and Jasper ( and others) on YouTube and the Podcast app.

But at the end of the day it’s what gives you the best return for your work. I would swap over to a new provider if you recommend it. Cheers

What happens is that I read peoples' comments and one person says they find x difficult and it's no good, then a second and a third. Then I think there's a problem that I go and fix and 100 people come and say they preferred it the way it was!

I’d follow you anywhere, just give a heads up when you’ve reached your decision. You’ve been a godsend for me in trying times

I am not a paid member of substack and not interested in becoming one. I am a paid member of Patreon, have purchased books from Audible and from your newest and latest source, although I forget it’s name. Patreon is convenient because I have several memberships there and it is convenient to be able to go to one place. I love your work, both narration and your literary creations. If you leave Patreon, I will follow you wherever you go.— in a fan way, not a creepy way. LOL!

On Podia, I noticed a plan for detective stories, do you plan to add more of those?

Like the others, Ill go where you do.

Certainly I do. I just don't know when which is why it isn't a subscription

Thanks, Tony. I only subscribe to a couple of pages here on Substack, and I became a member because there was an offer of a reduced yearly rate. I prefer yearly subscription instead of Patreon charging my account every month. I'm old fashioned, I know people don't even look at their credit card statements anymore! But I'd reconsider Patreon or another monthly subscription service if necessary because I enjoy hearing your members-only episodes.

I'd encourage you to explore other platforms. Substack is controversial these days, I think they stink and I'm here reluctantly and only for a few artists I really appreciate. I'll gladly follow you to other platforms. So there's a data point. Good luck!

I don't have a lot of experience with the other platforms you mentioned (read "none") but will follow you wherever you land! You're the Best!
